The inventory, classification, and evaluation of tourism resources not only help identify potential but also create a basis for proposing suitable groups of tourism products. Through the method of field surveys and analysis of collected data, the project’s team of experts has succeeded in:

  • Inventorying and classifying tourism resources, thereby making assessments about the potential for developing characteristic tourism products, contributing to creating a competitive advantage over neighboring areas.
  • Conducting detailed investigations of exploitable tourism resources, including the assessment of cultural, historical, and landscape values, technical infrastructure, and the capacity for preserving and promoting resource values.
  • Researching the carrying capacity of tourist destinations, evaluating the conditions for developing suitable tourism models, while also identifying the advantages and challenges in exploiting these resources.

STEPS FOR CONDUCTING FIELD RESEARCH

Step 1: Inventory and classification of tourism resources The expert team reviews and assesses existing types of tourism resources, including:

  • Cultural resources: Historical relics, traditional craft villages, local festivals.
  • Natural resources: Green areas, conservation zones, natural landscapes.
  • Man-made resources: Unique architectural works, creative spaces, entertainment areas.

Step 2: Detailed investigation and assessment of resources Conducting field surveys at potential destinations, collecting information on:

  • Historical-cultural value, landscape value.
  • Conservation status and tourism development policies.
  • Current infrastructure status and tourism capacity.
  • Assessing feedback from the local community and tourists.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND SURVEY DATA

The research process was conducted using field survey methods, based on a set of criteria for evaluating tourism resources developed by the expert team. Two main methods were applied:

  • Expert group surveys, with assessments based on a set of nearly 50 criteria.
  • Consultation with the community and tourists, through surveys of local residents and experts at tourist destinations in the area.

The comprehensive assessment of tourism resources is a crucial step in determining the direction for sustainable development, thereby proposing suitable groups of tourism products. This strategy not only helps enhance the value of the destination but also creates a foundation for the strong development of tourism in the future.
